Mill Hill Broadway, London Borough of Barnet

Our first project with Aviva, Bunns Lane will deliver affordable and market build-to-rent homes and replacement parking on an existing car park site in Mill Hill.

In 2023, Barnet Council invited developers to submit proposals for reimagining the current Bunns Lane car park site to deliver a residential-led mixed use scheme. Following a dialogue with multiple developers, the Council approved the appointment of Aviva Capital Partners and Stories to lead the redevelopment of the site.

Stories are now bringing forward proposals for the delivery of a residential-led development which will deliver much needed new homes for Barnet residents. Ultimately these homes will be owned and managed by Barnet Council, who will serve as the landlord and offer secure rental agreements for local residents.

The project will create much needed housing for the Mill Hill neighbourhood and support the economic objectives and prosperity of Barnet Council.

The scheme will see the delivery of new high-quality homes for local people, half of which will be affordable, supporting Barnet Council’s commitment to deliver more affordable housing.

Proposals to be developed for the site will see a build-to-rent development delivered under a sale and leaseback model with the Council.

As we begin developing proposals for the site, we will be engaging closely with local stakeholders and community groups.

The Aviva Stories partnership was formed to deliver purposeful development projects in the UK, engaging across the full spectrum of the property development process from design, planning and financing, through to completion and operation.
