St Mungo's, Westminster
A joint venture with leading charity St Mungo’s to create a new state of the art homeless facility in Westminster, facilitated by new build-to-rent homes.
Stories partnered with St Mungo’s to create a modern, high quality, self-contained homeless facility that would meet the future needs of the City of Westminster and St Mungo’s homeless clients.
This new community asset would have been enabled by the delivery of 94 new build-to-rent homes on the site, allowing St Mungo’s to receive the new facility at nil cost to them. Proposals for a new 20-storey building on the site of the existing hostel received a unanimous resolution to planning approval in September 2022 and appropriate delivery strategies were put in place to deliver the project.
St Mungo's have since shifted their focus, moving away from the provision of homeless accommodation, and as a result the site will be brought forward for sale.
