Senior Development Manager

Hi, I'm Seb

I’ve always been drawn to the built environment, not just as something we design and deliver, but as something that shapes how people live, interact and experience a place.

What draws me to development is the opportunity to create places that people actually want to spend time in. The kind of places that feel natural, well thought through and full of life, rather than over-designed or purely driven by numbers. That balance between design, commercial reality and real-world use is what I find most interesting.

I have nearly a decade of experience working across the built environment, delivering and shaping developments across residential, office, hospitality and mixed-use sectors. My experience spans large, complex regeneration schemes through to more targeted asset repositioning, including involvement in landmark schemes such as Battersea Power Station and Borough Yards, as well as a role at Manhattan Loft Corporation, a developer behind some of London’s most admired buildings including Chiltern Firehouse and the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel

I’m particularly drawn to where there’s an opportunity to define what something becomes. A lot of my work is about bringing clarity to that process, aligning different perspectives and turning an initial idea into something that is both viable and deliverable.

At Stories, I’m currently working on West Bay in Southampton, helping to shape a new city centre neighbourhood and establish a clear, investible framework for delivery.

I take a collaborative and pragmatic approach to my work and enjoy bringing people together around a shared idea. Ultimately, I’m motivated by developments that have a lasting impact on a place, not just during delivery, but long after.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, usually centred around good food and wine.
