A joint venture with leading charity St Mungo’s to create a new state of the art facility to tackle homelessness in Westminster, unlocked with our Community Asset model.

Stories has partnered with St Mungo’s following an OJEU procurement process to create a modern, high quality, self-contained homeless facility that will meet the future needs of the City of Westminster and St Mungo’s.
This new community asset is enabled by the delivery of 94 new build-to-rent homes on the site, allowing St Mungo’s to receive the new facility at nil cost to them. The project, which will see a new 20-storey building and 8-storey building on the site of the existing hostel, received unanimous planning approval in September 2022.

The site is tight and adjacent to major road and rail infrastructure, with complex title issues.

Further information is available at the project website.
Co-design
The plans have been developed through an extensive co-design process with former rough sleepers and staff and in collaboration with Westminster and GLA commissioners, alongside community consultation.
